Coming soon - NEW WASTE TYPE SKIP BIN FOR HIRE

October 29th, 2009 by The BookaBin Australia Bin Hire Team

Recently we have had customers looking to get rid of pure Soil / Dirt waste. Bookabin has listened to your feedback and will be adding the following new waste type in some serviced areas:

Soil / Dirt skip bin: 100% pure soil / dirt (no turf or contaminants)

Due to disposal options, and to keep the price low for this type of waste bin, no other waste can be mixed in this skip. If by chance there is other waste in the bin it will cost the suppliers more to dispose of the waste and additional charges will apply to the customer.

If you are interested in finding out how much it will cost to hire a Soil / Dirt skip bin, please enter your postcode at www.bookabin.com.au. The website will present you with the waste types available in your area.

One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure!

October 8th, 2009 by The BookaBin Australia Bin Hire Team

Currently many people are hurting financially, yet most of us have a goldmine of unused items in our houses. The trick is to turn this trash and treasure into cash before you rent a skip bin, and just throw it all away.

Deciding what is trash / treasure:
1. Is it beautiful or do I use it?
2. Have I used it in the last 12 months?

If you answer NO to either of these questions, put it in the Treasure Trash pile!

These goods can be sold to generate a bit more moola, there are many ways to sell these unwanted items.

Online Auctions: There’s no doubt you get top dollar from online auctions. But the trouble is that they take a lot of effort. You’ve got to photograph each item to be auctioned, list it online, answer questions, source packaging, visit the post office to send it, and provide feedback. For valuable items this is worth it, for small items, it’s not.

Garage Sales: These are a great way to get rid of a large pile of junk. Unfortunately, they have a bad reputation. Inexperienced sellers think everyone who turns up will be a dealer and/or rude and unpleasant. The reality is that the vast majority of customers aren’t like that.

Auction houses: If your furniture, jewellery, art or other collectibles are valuable, you might want to sell them through a local auction house. But beware that the buyers are dealers and you’ll get wholesale value, less commissions.

OP Shops: Before you take your trash to the op shop, do a quick search to see what things are selling for. For example, granny’s ugly old 1950s sofa has become “mid-century” in a collector’s lexicon and may be worth hundreds of dollars.

Local notice boards: Another way to sell items is with cards or leaflets in your local supermarket or on other local notice boards.

And don’t forget ………Telling your friends! You never know what they have been eyeing up without you realizing!

………..Now the goods you have left over….. you will need a skip bin for all that junk! Book online to save time, visit www.bookabin.com.au
