In the name of safety (environmental and personal!) hazardous waste cannot be placed in a skip bin. This type of waste includes TV’s, monitors, fridges, paints, solvents, liquids or any asbestos. To dispose of any of these materials you need to contact your local council. They will be able to provide you with a contact who can dispose of anything hazardous or not accepted in your skip bin (i.e. food waste). In some areas, disposal of tyres and mattresses in the skip bin can incur additional charges, due to the process involved. Bookabin offers 4 different waste types:

General waste - which is Suitable for most domestic and commercial waste removal. This bin is hired for people who are doing a household clean out and wish to dispose of furniture etc. Please be aware that green waste can also be disposed of in a general waste bin. Also, if you have a small amount (we say less than 2 wheelbarrows full) of cleanfill, this too can be disposed of in the general waste bin. If you put more than 2 wheelbarrows full, your order could get canceled by the supplier or you caould get charged extra! 

Green Waste - Which is for green garden waste removal only. Suitable for: grass, leaves, small branchs, other organic material 

Cleanfill Waste - General “Clean” rubbish removal. Suitable for: concrete, soil, clay, rocks, rubble,  bricks, sand, ashphalt,  ceramic tiles. This and general waste can NOT be mixed together in this bin! 

100% pure soil / dirt - This bin is for clean soil only, it can not have any grass or weeds etc mixed in. If your soil is not clean it can be disposed of in the cleanfill bin.
